So, I made it through college, design school, student loans, first apartment, first job, first car, struggle struggle struggle, big break!!!! Dream job!!!
Tomorrow is the launch of the spring line of
The House of Champagne, with yours truly as the Assistant Fashion Designer. Dream job, remember?
I can do it, all I have to do is visualize tomorrow - being flawless, of course! It's a day I've dreamed of for years. Surrounded by the people I love and respect. And my boss. Franc will be worried, and needy and creative and demanding. I'll handle him effortlessly and leave him wondering what he would do without me. Check out his award: Designer of the year! One day I'll be there as well!
Now back to love and respect: Mirta, my BFF, will probably be a little nervous, but will be my eyes and ears when I have to focus. Hiring her as my assistant was the best decision I've made this year, along with buying that car. Isn't she adorable? The camera loves that girl!
I'll take lots of pictures of the show to post later -- maybe I should have let my mom and Nana come to the show, but they understand that I'm too NERVOUS for family to be there!!! They know the deal, they've got my back. That's what family is for, right? To know when to love you and when to leave you alone!
And later tonight? Dinner with Andrew!! A great job and a great guy, too. Talk about a dream life! Here we are at the Fazionizta Magazine Party.
Hey, I deserve it after so many years with Ty. That guy was going nowhere. Never date a musician!!! Talk about chasing after a guy who was never going to commit! Just like Dear old Dad. It's so cliché! Psych 101. Not anymore - I'm moving on!!
I just heard a creepy noise outside! Got to get the gardner to trim back those bushes by the windows. Lately I keep thinking I'm hearing somebody outside my window! On the second story? Right, Bianca. Must be my neighbor's cats.
